About Marisa

​

A down-to-earth woman, Marisa first started in the cutthroat fashion industry. Rejecting the beauty industry’s unrealistic beauty standards and body dictatorship, Marisa found inspiration in art forms like burlesque and classic pin-ups. 

 

Marisa has created a fun and playful private studio where people can celebrate their personality and spark. With the entire staff’s sweet demeanor and playfulness, clients can feel at ease and enjoy their expert guidance. People today are bombarded with hypercritical messages about their bodies in the media; Marisa, in response, offers a space that is a fun-filled oasis of self-love and acceptance. 

 

Marisa has been building and designing sets for herself and peers (including Le saint Motel, Tourisme MTL) since 2008, producing large-scale events (Le Tassel D'Or, Le Saint Motel) with international guests since 2015 and producing small-scale events since 2012. Marisa Also does prop-editing for movies, having worked on photo editing for such films as: Fatherhood 2021 (Kevin Heart), Pet Semetary (David Duchovny), French Exit 2020 (Michelle Pfeiffer), Le temps d’un été 2022 (Patrice Robitaille) and many more!
